Plan: - This phase focuses on method of continuous improvement in project framework. It is used in planning the test or planning for data collection, predicting the results and exploring the strategies to check the changes (Continuous improvement framework, 2012). Offering HH education could be planned to reduce the HAIs. The aim of this project is to focus on decreasing HAIs by 50 % within 6-month …show more content…
Financial barrier: - Hard to maintain the larger cost in installing the electronic monitoring devices (Srigley et al. 2013).
Busy work environment: - Busy work environment could lead to HH procedure being forgotten by HCWs while they are dealing with the complications and providing care for patient in post-operative ward (Hand Hygiene Australia, 2014).
Unwilling to agree the changes: - some HCWs could refuse to accept the changes, where they may not like using electronic devices to monitor their HH moments (Srigley et al. 2013).
Monitoring barrier: - Srigley et al. 2013 has described the possibility of power outage that could cause failure to perform correct HH moments. Where direct observation can cost more in some …show more content…
Furthermore, the starting rate of HAIs needs to be taken before the intervention to estimate the outcome of the application of the above explained intervention. In comparison, the average ratio of HAIs for every 100 discharges will be used in the display. If the HH moments performed in timely method and followed the correct technique of HH, the steps would be checked via recorded electronic device. To make sure that observation of HH procedure performs correctly and timely manner, the HH performance will be observed physically during the time of power outage. Each review will have 30-minute allocated time to discuss the success, any problems and way to resolve current problems within evidence based study through discussion.
HCWs have to complete the survey to decrease the HAIs while performing their role and assess their knowledge. After the intervention, different kind of question would be asked to specify their present knowledge has increased about HAIs due to interventions. Where the previous data and those results would be compared. As a result, this indicates that developing knowledge about HAIs and perform their role to control HAIs is easy to
