Without the ability to compile and leverage data to make a strong business case, the refurbishment program might never have achieved its full potential. These were week long trips where you served with people and partner organizations that work daily to improve the lives of those less fortunate. My first trip was to Laredo, TX to work with Habitat for Humanity. Having the opportunity to work alongside the future homeowners was the most rewarding thing I have done in my life. Hearing their stories and understanding how they connected with Habitat for Humanity was something I wish everyone could experience. Upon returning to Villanova I shared my story and wanted to participate in as many future trips as possible. I would later go to Lexington, KY, Miguel Aleman, Mexico and was able to organize, plan and lead my own group of students to Slidell, LA. These service experiences have helped to shape me as a person. I regularly reflect on them and see how they influence my actions.
