He was extremely thankful for the time and patience I spend to help his son. He tried to offer me a ride home, but I denied the ride. I told him I was ok; However, he went inside the store as I waited outside and came out with a bottle of water saying it was for me. I took it and started to make my way back home afterwards, for it was getting late and cold around me. I still had about 10 mins of walking to do and as i was walking home I had very exciting feeling in my head and big smile on my face. That same night, as soon as I arrived home I told my father of what had happened and how I had helped a kid get home safely; he smiled. It wasn’t his normal smile though; it was a weird smile as if he already knew the story so I asked “what dad?”. That’s when he told me that today my 5-year-old nephew got lost around the neighborhood for about two hours while he was biking with his friends. And that someone had found him and brought him home. As he was done explaining to me what had happened I asked myself “what if I would have not helped that young guy out? Would have the stranger helped my nephew out? but I had no answer for myself and that’s why after that day I made sure I give a helping hand always to granted that I receive a helping hand when I need it or my loved ones need it. Truly giving a helping hand is a wonderful thing to do because when we or our loved ones need a helping hand someone will give it to
