Materialism is defined as the belief that having money and possessions is the most important thing in life. It is true that materialism has taken a big role in every individual life, we think that having a fortune will make us completely happy, but the truth is that several studies have shown that the richest persons in the world are also the most depressed and unhappy of all, because they left behind the most important things in the world, that are the family and the social interaction.
The moment we hear the word materialism, we automatically think about it in a really negative way, thinking that this means the person is superficial and that he/she does not care at all about anything except buying stuff. But I strongly believe that materialism being managed in the right way can create good ambitions on a person that can help to build a success and happy life.
