3.1 eMusic Room
Aim:
Children have many worries and emotions but are often afraid to express them, especially to adult figures. These supressed negative emotions persist in the child’s mind, harming their mental wellness due to lack of emotional regulation.
eMusic Room offers many approaches for primary school students to express their emotions with minimal external supervision. The usage of music serves to subtly make emotional expression easier for students, and guide them towards regulating negative emotions or maintaining positive emotions.

3.2 PlayMusic Playground
Aim:
Recess periods in primary schools are important for students’ mental development, and one of the limited times they have for play. Playgrounds are fun and popular areas for primary school students to play. A Volkwagen project to have a piano incorporated into a staircase at Odenplan subway station in Stockholm, Sweden, saw 66% more commuters choosing stairs over the escalator, largely due to the interest and fun value.
Hence, installing a music-themed playground in schools for students to play during their breaks would be a fun new way to relieve stress and anxiety through music-infused play as they can have physical activities and socialise with their friends as well. Musical elements, such as background music and instruments, could be incorporated to make the playground fun, and arouse curiosity from the students so that they actively use the playground.
