– Attend and participate in all meetings of the Nominating Committee. – Maintain confidentiality in regard to discussions and decisions of the Nominating Committee. – Maintain a sense of objectivity in deliberations of the committee and base decisions on the welfare and best interests of the entire chapter. – Tabulate and compile all recommendations contained in the individual slates from members of the respective academic classes. – Report to the Nominating Committee all comments, recommendations and preferences received from the respective academic classes. – Present to the chapter the qualifications of individuals selected for nomination to office. – Support the slate both publicly and privately, even if additional nominations come from the chapter.
Member-at-Large – Since this committee member does not represent an academic class, she does not have individual slates to compile. The member-at-large contributes to the committee’s work by bringing overall chapter impressions and making observations that will help the committee select the best-qualified
