Revolution in America
Understanding patriotism is reasonable, but feeling it is only possible when one knows the struggles and suffering of a whole country before acquiring such sentiment. In the course of the history, United States have fought many battles. One purpose has always been the main reason, fighting for the rights of humanity, overall, for the rights of the American people. A long process and multiple wars were the foundations of this great nation. Since the very beginning, all the way to the victory of the Union, painful and necessary steps had been evidenced trough history. Strengthened by wars, American blood spared, hopes and visions of a better future the country has grown. Many would call the American Revolution and Civil War the most important of all conflicts. Instead, it might be seen differently. Revolution only ends when all parties agree to an end and the calm is found. The government, by securing from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean, demonstrated a huge warfare knowledge and power. This would be, probably, a higher gained in America than Louisiana. After crossing the Rio Grande and penetrating, all the way to Monterey, a city with “one of best fortified city in the world except Quebec” Mexico gave up . Territories like New Mexico, California, and the rest of Southwest states pasts then to be: enormous achievements. As result of the war, not only the land was attributed. The military power demonstrated superiority with the union of Texas to the war, in order to achieve such a task. Like “Elephant and the Monkey” , a premeditated war was implanted, extending the United States all the way to the Pacific
