Over years as an orthopaedic surgeon and as a specialised sports medicine surgeon scenario in india is quiet different from that of most countries in west.
One of the most painful situation in any parents life is seeing their child suffer and teenage is the most dangerous times because these energetic young guys are not aware of risks that can come to them during seemingly enjoyable activities .

in fact trouble starts much prior to even start of activity the very start of travel can become dangerous .we see so many parents obliging and buying bikes scooters for underage teens . the youth and adrenaline rush of these speed machines are often deadly to either life or limb of these young souls and if they do survive they give real cash issues to parents for medical care .
Stop sports injury is movement in itself in the west , it focusses on all sports mainstream and adventure . it requires lot of importance for quality of life and standards . in a developing nation like ours sports in mainstream at international level too , people are less aware of sports injuries so expecting same from amauteur sports offtrack ones like adventure ones would be too low …show more content…
telling each step can lead to death or lifelong disability should be stressed . secondly teaching discipline and enforcing the same should be uncompromised . equipments like shoes , ropes helmets velcroes etc should be greatest quality and use of these equipments should be taught and enforced . any dereliction or not keen on using if seen should be tackled immediately with stern action like informing parents and suspending the activity for the teen gives right message to all others . risks should not be tolerated as consequences are life changing for many .thirdly conditioning of body for the sport , again discipline is foremost . the trainer should identify tight muscles and add appropriate stretches and should enforce and guarantee that strength training is done by the sports person . a well conditioned muscle appropriate work hardening and discipline goes a long way in avoiding mishap
