In the beginning, Romeo is in unrequited love with Rosaline. He suffers from the love with her because she does not love him back; he closes all the windows in his room and is always depressed. Later, he notices that there is a party in Capulet 's which Rosaline is going to attend. With his friends ' encouragements, Romeo decides to go to the party. At the party, Romeo happens to meet Juliet and he instantly falls in love with her. After the party is over, he goes back to the Capulet 's house to meet Juliet and he sees her coming out to the balcony. When Romeo recognizes Juliet, he speaks aloud, " It is my lady, O it is my love. / O that she knew she were" (II, ii, 10-11). Romeo is saying that he is in love with Juliet and he wishes her to know how much he loves her. This quote implies that after Romeo meets Juliet in the Capulet 's party, he forgets all about Rosaline and now he is in love with Juliet. In other words, Romeo does not take the love with Rosaline seriously at all as he falls in love with another woman instantaneously. Romeo 's falling in love with Juliet is his first impulsive action which has great influence over his death later in the play. Just a few minutes before, Romeo says that he does not want to fight Tybalt but now he says he is going to. This alludes to the fact that Romeo cannot control his emotions and temper. Romeo is so furious about Mercutio 's death that he decides to fight Tybalt even though Romeo knows that fighting Tybalt in the street results punishment from the Prince along with negative effects on him and Juliet 's relationship. Later, Prince asks Romeo to leave the city of Verona as a punishment. Indeed, his impulsiveness leads to banishment of Verona and parting Juliet. The last impulsive action that affects Romeo 's death is buying poison from an apothecary. As a result of killing Tybalt, the Prince of Verona orders Romeo to banish the city before the sun rises. As a result, Romeo leaves Verona as well as Juliet and he goes to Mantua. Once there, he hears from his servant Balthazar that Juliet is dead. He gets so depressed that without any thoughts, he immediately decides to go to apothecary and get some poison to kill himself.
