PCOS is a hormone imbalance problem that can interfere with normal ovulation. “5-10% of women of childbearing age are affected by PCOS, with less than 50% of women diagnosed. Leaving millions of women undiagnosed. PCOS is responsible for 70% of infertility issues in women who have difficulty ovulating” (CDC Reproductive Health) Infertility in women can be caused be a number of reasons. “Endometriosis which is a chronic inflammatory disease that can cause frequent pelvic pain” (Falcone, MD and Young 65). High prolactin levels cause excessive production of the hormone by cells in the pituitary gland. There are a couple more options to look into. The first is surrogacy. A surrogate is a woman that carries the baby for someone else. “There are two types of surrogacy.
