In the last year, our global climate greatly changed. How might you ask? Well, when fossil fuels burn. Our changing climate is a complex topic, For starters, many people believe that global warming and climate change are the same. Also, the general signs that our climate is changing are important and should be known. To add to the problem that is climate change neglect and conspiracy theories have people believing that change is a hoax.Our government needs to be doing more to prevent change and the public can help. Lastly, if we do not take a stand what will the future of our planet look like? What will the new generation’s children be left with? Climate Change is progressing more rapidly every day. Climate change is real and a serious problem, if nothing is done then our future will be affected drastically. For example, climate change and global warming are two completely different ideas and affect our planet differently. “Climate change generally refers to all of the various long-term changes in our climate, including sea level rise, extreme weather, and ocean acidification” (Romm 19). In an email interview with KVOA Chief Meteorologist, Matt Brode states that our government is “too preoccupied with lobbying to pass any laws about our climate”. The United States Government believes that climate change is not important, the government has not yet passed a law to help prevent climate change.
