It could occur to people of all age but more common among between the ages of 15 to 60 years. Patients diagnosed with diabetes, hypertension. Upper respiratory and pregnant women are at a high risk of having Bell’s palsy disease and this disease could be controlled if individual’s immune system is taken care of properly
Bell’s palsy could be diagnose by a Physician through physical examination to check for the facial muscles weakness, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) or Computed Tomography (CT) scan to check for the facial nerves and Electromyography (EMG) to confirm the nerve’s damage and determine the severity, blood test are also required to check for the presence of an infection or diabetes.
Conclusion: Bell’s palsy affect people of all ages and symptom could sometimes subside on their own within two to three weeks of the onset if the case was not severe. I recommend every patient with Bell’s palsy symptoms to seek medical advice to treat the problems caused by the link viruses and facial massage should be done regularly to avoid
