Congratulations on starting a new relationship! Beginning a new relationship with someone is the start of a new journey in both of their lives. Even though new couples do not know everything about each other; new couples should take time to learn and understand the one another better. This can include an examination of culture and gender, and how they affect communication style.
Starting a new relationship is a journey and so I will explain a bit about principles and communication barriers. So that you both can build a solid relationship and will be able to handle or prevent any miscommunications. Additionally, I will touch a few key terms, and their meanings, such as self-concept, self-image and self-esteem and I will explain how those too can make an impact on your relationship. Finally, we will evaluate the different interpersonal conflict resolution techniques from Bevan and Sole and how they may be used to avoid conflict and strengthen your relationship.
