According to BGR, eighty-seven-percent of people in the United States of America devote an average of eight hours a day towards the use of technology. In today’s world, technology such as our phones, computers, and watches are used in almost every task we complete on a daily schedule. In a like manner, technology has spread to other aspects of life, such as street signs that inform people about traffic delays or safety precautions. As technology continues to prosper, it is dispersed into education, as presented in Janelle Cox’s article “The Benefits of Technology in the Classroom.” Consequently, while reading about the positive impacts of increased technology uses for learning purposes, I am pushed towards agreement from the author’s specific examples, as I later reflect on my personal experiences with technology in the classroom. Cox established the purpose for writing this piece- to inform the reader about technological benefits in schools- by providing sincere examples to persuade the reader to agree with her. Similarly, the reader reflects on their educational career to solidify the examples and prove the accuracy of the article. In conclusion, I personally believe that the use of cutting edge technology in the classroom is helpful because it creates new ways for students to learn that may prove more advantageous than traditional teaching
