Johannes Kepler
On the 27th day of December, a mercenary soldier named Heinrich Kepler and Katharina Guldenmann, a keeper of a local inn, gave birth to Johannes Kepler. He was born in a town called “Weil der Stadt”, which is now known as Germany. Kepler was a young child when he lost his father to whom gave his life in a battle of war. Johannes Kepler survived the small pox but not at a price. His hands we not that of normal hands and it is thought that his eye sight was impaired. Although these debilitations, the young Kepler had a profound impact on people with his ability in arithmetic. Throughout Kepler’s life, he would astound many people with different discoveries.
Kepler attended the University of Tubingen which is still in existence and considered to be one of the oldest universities in Europe. (Insert citation here) The University of Tubingen is where he would meet a professor that had a profoundly large roll in direction of which Kepler’s life went. Kepler did not just study one subject but he studied many including but not limited to Arithmetic, Astrology, Music, Hebrew, Greek, and Geocentric Astronomy. (CITE) Kepler’s Second Law, The Law of Areas is defined as showing why planets and other objects in our solar system move faster when they are closer to the sun. (CITE) Kepler’s Third Law, The Law of Periods, means “that if we square the time it takes a planet to complete one orbit around the sun, you can find it’s proportional to the plant’s distance from the sun cubed.” So, P^2=a^3 is also the equation that would be used to find the distance from a planets to its host star. Astronomers still use this law today.
