The technique of tilting is used when the actor is traveling upstairs, and the camera is following her. This is a great technique and it acts as if we are right behind her. It is also used throughout the entire movie, and it pulls the scenes together and adds a lot of character. Dolly is used to zoom into the actors face while she is talking, and it gives her more attention. It seems as if the technique is giving the actor more chemistry towards the audience. While Truck Motion is used right after that when the vehicle pulls up into a driveway, and the camera seems to be connected right on top of the vehicle. It seems like a film man would be connected on there for affect though. Slanted, Angle Shot, and Dolly is all used at the same time to zoom out from Lilly and Julia while they are walking, and it gives us a high above shot of them two walking. It is a sad piece of music that incorporates the tone of the film about to start. This is a melody. The beat soon starts to pick of just a little bit, this is where it has great rhythm, and it then starts to sound spooky and serious as the train enters the scene. The sounds of the music that is composed as the scenes changed into the oceans waves creep up on the scene and include a serious tone. This scene includes interactions of different melodies, which is the texture of the music. The music composed in between the scenes when Lilly was having a flashback to Julia implies that something sad will happen sooner than later. It is a monophony because it is one melodic line. When both girls play the record on the record player, it involves a joyous tone. This is considered a source music piece. While she is talking to Lilly, the journey in the car with their grandparents with the music, the music gives the hint that they are on a journey, and when they get to where they are going, the piece seems to stop. This is an example of a timbre. When Julia is talking to Lilly about her journey to Cairo, the music starts creeping up because she states that they told her it would be beautiful, but it wasn’t.
