Democratic Management Style In the democratic style a supervisor delegates authority to their personnel by giving them the responsibility to carry out a specified assignment. In this concept personnel complete their assignments in their own ensuring that they make their deadline. In this concept there is minimal association from the supervisor except to mentor. The advantages of management style include personal responsibility, increase motivation and morale among staff members. The disadvantage to this approach is if the supervisor is unable to provide staff with adequate guidance could result in confusion, lack of defined roles and missed deadlines (Daft, 2008).
