Even Physicians are still “in the dark” and do not know if Medical Marijuana actually works or not (Doctors). Marijuana has now become a subject of contentious debate. Contentious, meaning it is likely to cause people to argue or disagree. The reasoning of it being a contentious debate is because only some states have decided to legalize smoked marijuana for certain patients, and the patients who say they need it when not actually having a reasoning for it thinks that it is highly unfair that they can not use the drug. THC is a what they call a mind altering chemical. It acts on specific brain cell receptors that ordinarily react to natural THC - like chemicals in the brain (Drug). It over activates certain brain cell receptors, resulting in different effects to the human body (Marijuana). Smoking THC resins extracted from the marijuana plant is rising every year (Drug). Different people raise the amount of THC in marijuana all the time cause different reactions (Marijuana). THC can result in, altered senses, many different types of hallucinations, change in mood, impaired body movements, and causes difficulties with thinking and problem solving (Marijuana).
