Explain what violence is and how it affects women, children and in the family. This is a short activity to prepare the students for the film. This is a brief introduction of the topic.
Second Lesson
• Introduce the film to the class. Explain this film is relating to Awareness of Violence. The class will watch the documentary together. Tell your students to take notes and if any questions arise they can ask after the film. Start the film and dim the lights for better viewing
Third Lesson
• Time for questions about the film. Ask your students if they have any questions about the film. This is where you get the ball rolling, getting your students involved to talk about this issue. Here is a list of questions provided for your discussion. You can ask the students questions and they give a response. You can help clarify a question and if the students do not know the answer, help them better understand why that would be the answer or correct response.
Fourth Lesson
• Discuss Safety Procedures for women and children victims of violence. Use the PowerPoint for guidance to talk to your students. Explain where help is in the community and how to get help. Explain to your students who to call for help. Dial 911 for Emergencies.
