Led PD for four teacher in the intervention program, Leveled Literacy Intervention
As someone who could take on the role of instructional leader, I learned to be aware that everyone has different strengths and weakness. Training needs to be developed to meet the needs of all learners just like we do for the students.

Helped develop a support plan for a students with special needs who is from another elementary school but transfers buses at our school.
To ensure safety, it is important to have systems in place during bus supervision For this students, it was determined that a teacher will get him off the bus and walk him to the next bus line. The teacher who supervises that line will help him on the bus. …show more content…
By developing this master calendar, I was able to make the organization of the Reading Pals program more simple. As an administrator, I will have many things to oversee, so it is important to finds ways to be more efficient and delegate task when possible.

I attended the attendance meeting which meets monthly to review all students absences and tardies.
Prior to the meeting, I was unaware of the policies and procedures in place to monitor and address attendance issues. Monitoring attendance is important. In order for student to learn they need to be at school, so informing parents of the attendance expectations is helpful. I learned that by personally reaching out with suggestions and support on how to help meet the attendance expectation can be more impactful that an informal letter.

Worked collaboratively with the literacy coach to plan a 3 hour PD on responsive literacy instruction.

She was able share some great advice on how to deliver all the information. She suggested, organized the biverliery of information into sections so it is not overwhelming. We also decided to purchase a few samples of the intervention so a more thorough understanding can be gained. Even though it cost money, I learned that investing a small amount of funds into purchasing sample can help with the investigation process.

Supervised fourth grades winter music program.
I learned that administrators should be present at all school funds to show support and ensure safety. In the future, I realize that I will have to attend after school functions and be visible in the community.

Organized new kindergarten reading RtI groups and mailed out formal letters.
Ensuring students learning is never ending. As an administrator, I will need to encourage constant communication and collaboration centered around student learning. Implementing a PLC process is one way I can do that.
