The banks are increasing racism in the town by discriminating black people from utilizing them (the bank) and making the them go out of Longtown in order to access a bank. Although the variety of races differed, there were slightly still some minor problems regarding the individual’s skin tones. Even when Longtown was a refuge from prejudice, groups from the outside world would cause racism.
