Because of the creation of these categories, the poor’s were often looked down upon and were often discriminated against. The main issue that still remains until today’s society is that peoples with low socioeconomic status tend to be receiving poorer treatment in the health care system. Because of the fact that one’s income is low and that their education status or social position may not be as great as the middle or high class, they suffer a major issue in term of poorer treatments by the society. In addition, racism was one factor why some individual did not receive any benefit or poor benefit in term of health as a matter fact.
