Which dates all the way back to 1192 in China. A firearm or gun, consists of an explosion cause by gun powder being ignited which propels a projectile down a barrel and through the air at a great speed. In the pre-firearms times, all combat was preformed with axes swords, bows and arrows etc. but once the Chinese discovered the power of black powder, war immediately changed. The Chinese were dominating their foes by using the first firearms and annihilating all those who stood in their way. Yet the first fire arms were very inaccurate, and as the other armies picked up the idea of guns, the Chinese were forced to impure their guns. Which lead to rifling in the barrels of guns. Rifling is groves in the barrel of a gun that cause the bullet to spin as it moves down the barrel and once it is flying in the air the bullet then become very accurate. Yet if the true potential of black powder had never been discovered, personal safety, war, hunting and many other aspects of shooting, would still exist but would not be the …show more content…
The amount of math and science that went into getting a human into space was well as walking on the moon is unfathomable. All of the time spent on achieving a goal that previous generation astronomers deemed impossible baffles my mind. The dedication to reach the moon before our neighbors across the pond not only is an engineering achieve but also an achievement in nationalism. We Americans were determined to reach the mon before the USSR, and that we did in 1969 when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first men to walk on the Moon. Defeating the USSR as well as achieving the most magnificent accomplishment in engineering history. Space travel used to be a fairy tale in the days of Galileo, it was an insane belief that we could walk on the moon. But Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin defied the disbeliefs of the previous
