Cosmetic companies often make massive claims to sell products. With promises of antiaging, disappearing wrinkles, and overall younger looking skin. However what scientific evidence do cosmetic companies actually have to support these claims? In the article, “Making cosmetic claims”, Marc S. Reisch explains the process that scientist take to separate legitimate claims and fictitious claims just to sell a product. A company has to test their products to be able to have these claims.

Before May of 2016 anything that was known about how prepared graduate students were for their careers was just a guess. There was no reliable evidence till Science conducted a survey in May 2016 asking graduate students their plan after graduate school. The results showed that students that chose to their postdoc were more likely go into academia which took more schooling. Chemist had a pretty excellent understanding of the chances of them getting a job. While on the other hand life scientist overestimated their odds of getting a job. Also that postdoc students don’t always need it for their career. What happened is the company bought products after they had been shown to cause serious lung injury or death. Then they continues to sell the six different products after they knew the side effects.

While there are regulations to regulate house hold trash there are none for oil and gas. The lack of regulations take a huge toll on the environment. The toxic waste from oil and gas soak into groundwater and end up spreading to roads and lands and goes into ponds. This is why this suit has been filed.
