He used language about social and political upheaval of the time. Also, used vocabulary to express what was happening that connect and relate to people with more than one vivid language. To make his point hit close to home he used imagery and alliteration as well as rhythm and frequent repetition. Martin Luther King Jr’s speech was well researched to allude on what he wants to address. Biblical language was used along with political treatise about the bible, Gettysburg Address and the US Declaration of Independence that establish not only his credibility but also relate to everyone in the audience.

Watching the live video that was recorded on that day he looks down to read what he written to speak to the people who gather to witness his speech.
