We would not be able to remember what we did yesterday, what we have done today or what we plan to do tomorrow. If we could not recall the who, what, where, and when of our everyday lives, we would never be able to manage, have an identity, or create social bonds. Memory makes us.

For instance, writing down new information. Baylor University states, “writing engages a different kind of memory than speaking. It prompts you to be more logical, coherent, and complete” (1). Furthermore, the information discusses the use of imagery by creating images to connect facts and personal relationships. Another similarity is the use of reciting and teaching it, which would fall under rehearsal in our book.
