Specifically, non-verbal communication in regards to artifacts and writing (CITE). Artifacts are tools such as objects and images used to communicate information (Cherry). Writing is especially crucial in healthcare for the transfer of information as for when it is correct and effective it allows for clear direction and understanding of the author and the recipient. As technology advances it becomes easier for the public to access information, writing needs to be clear and easily understood, so they are not misinformed.
Overall, communication is essential to healthcare no matter where in the field they are as being able to articulate their ideas and useful information effectively to the public and coworkers.
