But listening to the song, the musical side of the song is upbeat nothing like the message they are singing about. The line “goodbyes are bitter-sweet” is kind of like the song as a whole, the music is upbeat- sweet, the lyrics- bitter.

(Theme) I think the central idea of this song is that change is difficult especially when you remember all the happy memories. That those memories are in a certain chapter of their life that is now closing. The concern of this song is that they do not really know where they are going to end up and who’s going to be there, or not be there (in life). The purpose is to tell others of what they’ve gone through and to let others know that they aren’t alone. That most people have difficult time adjusting to change. That the possibility of losing someone could be terrifying.
