The Statue of Memi and Sabu is made from lime stone while the Statue of Gudea is made from regular stone. Other than, I do not really see any similarities. The Statue of Gudea is in honor of himself that he placed in temples for people to worship for rebuilding the temples. The Statue of Memi and Sabu is a sacred pair statue important to the Egyptian afterlife. Memi and Sabu statue represents royal relationship, the Gudea statue is a shrine for his followers to worship even though was a mere man. Memi and Sabu held a purpose for the Egyptians beliefs where Gudea held the purpose of simply reminding his subjects of his status and accomplishments as King. Also to point out, these two statues came from very different times in history.
