Mexico is generally divided into five major regions: Northern Mexico, Central Mexico, Southern Mexico, Baja California, and the Yucatan Peninsula (AllAboutMexico.com). The northern region of the country has a very high temperature and the inland climate tends to be very hot and dry due to it being a desert region; however, depending upon the elevation of the area and the time of the year, the climate can be rather mild as is the case for the city of Guadalajara and the nights can be freezing in cooler months (Mexperience.com). Central Mexico is much like Northern Mexico, the days are very warm and dry but nights tend be rather cool.
