The most common assumption of a leader is that they are born with the ability and traits of a great leader; that assumption is massively incorrect. Leadership is taught, not learned, it is something one develops through time. And each leader is different.
Each leader is different and was taught differently. But one aspect all leaders have in common is the ability to understand others. You can’t just lead someone without not having gained their respect. You have to understand them and know them. Without knowing someone, it doesn’t make you a leader, it makes you a boss.
