According to Nursing Central, “penicillin does have an adverse side effect of anaphylaxis, but that can be a side effect to any medication, which varies from person to person. The most common side effects are: diarrhea, epigastric distress, nausea, vomiting, interstitial nephritis, rash, and urticaria (itching)” (Nursing Central, 2016). Caleb, a man who took part in the original treatment plan, left for the military where he received a penicillin shot. Nurse Evers is very professional when she is on the clock, but outside of work, she formed an intimate relationship with one of her patients.
