On the opposite life style, Estella has no expectations, dreams,or plans for her future. Pip appearing at her run down not taken care of mansion gives her a sense of control and power over other peoples fortunes. This makes miss Havisham feel alive. Miss Havisham has a lot of rejection issues that are known through out Pip's visits such as the creepy wedding room. Emotionally he suffered the ridiculed comments by his family (except Joe) and their guests for absolutely no reason at all. His sister never buys him clothes or anything new because she thinks “hes already fortunate enough.” “Later in the novel Pip informs us that his sister had wished him in a grave more than once” (26). When he goes to Miss Havisham's its another stab in his heart; he takes liking to Estella ,but because of Estella being modeled by Miss Havisham Estella is heartless and cruel. Miss Havisham tries to break pip even more than before she build him up only for Estella to break him once again. “"Why don't you cry?"
