God is constantly contradicting himself throughout the Bible on various occasions of murder and slavery. The Old Testament God is very harsh and brutal. While He always justifies his actions, it is a very gray area. Not black or white. How can God have given us morals that he does not follow himself? Why would it be right for him to commit immoral acts and for us not to? This also gives unrighteous justice to people who commit crimes in the name of God.
If God gave us morality, religious choices would be clearer. For example, topics like gay marriage and abortion are commonly debated upon. Are they right or are they wrong? Moral opinions are different among people and are not any clearer in the Bible. We cannot know for sure on some subjects, which are right or wrong. We can on speculate about them and try to make whichever decision feels better. If God gave us morality we would automatically know what was considered right and what was considered wrong. There would only be black and white and no gray
