I. Many causes can lead to multiple sclerosis but the main cause still unknown.
A. One of the causes is Genetics
1. MS seems to be inherited, or a person may have abnormal genes when he was born. B. Environmental factors raise the risk of having Multiple sclerosis 2. Smoking and the deficit in vitamin D and other environmental factors can lead to MS C. MS can enter the body through a virus or infection 3. Bacteria and viruses during childhood cause inflammation so viruses cause MS
II. Many symptoms appear to tell us that it is MS

One of the causes is genetics. First of all, MS is an autoimmune disease; it is when the immune system of the body attacks its own tissues by attacking the myelin that protects the nerves filaments (symptoms and causes MS mayoclinic). Moreover, doctors assume that Multiple Sclerosis seems to be inherited. The risk of MS is related to genetics and to the family. Also, researchers argue that there exist many genes that contribute to get MS. Other researchers said that MS develops because a person is born with abnormal genes, then he is exposed to environmental agents that lead an autoimmune response, and so to MS (what is multiple sclerosis). The risk of having Multiple Sclerosis differs from 3% between relatives, 5% siblings, 2% parents and 2% children. This risk is higher for the children than for parents. Therefore, there is a relation between Multiple Sclerosis, chromosomes, and alleles of the MHC (Compston et al. 1505). In addition, environmental factors raise the risk of having multiple sclerosis. First of all, smoking, the lead in vitamin D and other environmental factors can raise the risk of Multiple Sclerosis. Vitamin D plays a big role so, people living in the temperate regions are exposed to the sunlight which gives them a high level of natural vitamin D, but the issue is that the exposure to the sunlight is related to MS by developing abnormal cells that lead to Multiple Sclerosis (what …show more content…
Its main cause still unknown, but fortunately it has treatments. We should always remember that just as each problem has a solution, each disease has a treatment due to medical progression. Either way, people should be aware of its causes and avoid the exposure to them as much as they can.
