Muscular endurance is key to may sports, sports where intermittent exercise is performed, such as rugby or basketball, intermittent training is appropriate. Sports where a continuous exercise output is required, such as a marathon, continuous training is appropriate. Exercise has beneficial effects in patients with cardiovascular disease, even for those with severely impaired cardiac function, and that physical inactivity accelerates the severity of heart failure. The purpose of this experiment is to compare and contrast Continuous and intermittent exercise, it is hypothesized that the participants will be able to work longer and have a greater power output well performing intermittent exercise. Since intermittent exercise allows for recovery the participants should not fatigue as fast, as when they are doing continuous exercise. We hypothesized that intermittent exercise bouts are more effective than moderate continuous training, during intermittent exercise participants will exercise longer and have a greater work output.
