My teeny Spongebob pole sat still as a rock in my hands as I stared out at the water, looking at my blaze orange slip bobber. I had been waiting and waiting, all day long, for that bobber to disappear under the water. I set my pole on the dock to take a break and stretch. I was abruptly interrupted by my dad who screamed at me. He shrieked at me to tell me my bobber had gone under the water. I swiftly turned around to grab the pole which was resting on the edge of the dock. I was in straight shock. I was so excited that after I pulled my pole up to start reeling, it flew out of my hands and right into the water. Luckily my dad was tuned in and watching me, so he sprung out of his seat and snagged my pole for me. He handed me the pole again, and I started to reel as fast as I could. My heart was beating out of my chest. I couldn’t believe that I was going to catch a fish. I tried reeling in, but for some reason the fish wouldn’t come in. It felt like what I was trying to reel in was cemented to the lake bottom. I was jerked forward by the pull of the fish. I almost fell into the lake the fish pulled me so hard. Luckily again, my dad was there to save me from
