The thickest muscle of the heart composed of cardiac muscle responsible for heart contraction to facilitate blood pumping in the ventricles. Results of myocarditis is because of bacterial infection to the heart tissue through the bloodstream.
Depending on the severity and type of infection it is, myocarditis symptoms can vary. Mild carditis symptoms majority of the time has no noticeable symptoms but most often feeling ill without knowing the onset of myocarditis. Symptoms of myocarditis are known to be fever, headache, sore throat, diarrhea, joint and body pains, fatigue, arrhythmia, shortness of breath, chest pain, swelling of legs, ankles and feet due to fluid retention. As for children with myocarditis their symptoms are known to be having a fever, shortness of breath, fatigue, fainting, and discoloration on the skin which may be bluish or grayish.
Pericarditis.
The inflammation of the pericardium is known as Pericarditis. The pericardium is the sac that is filled with fluid covering the heart and protecting it. The cause of pericarditis is when the sac-like covering the heart or the pericardium; when it becomes irritated it then inflamed.
