Shutter Island was directed by Martin Scorsese. Shutter Island focuses a great deal on the psychological behavior of a protagonist. The plot presents situations that reveal the characters traits. As in Shutter Island, Leonardo Dicaprio –Teddy Daniels is portrayed by three different characters. The physical differences amongst them display the different sides to his character. How the characters respond to Teddy also emphasized that he is not taken seriously and is not really a U.S Marshal. Like for example when he got angry at Dr Cawley for his lack of cooperation and Dr Sheehan finishes his sentence stating to whom they would give the report to, this shows the audience a brief explanation of his lack of knowledge. The primary cause of this action in Shutter Island contributes a lot to the story.
