Turn the computer off, close your laptop, and put your phone back in your purse. Start by just going one weekend without logging on to social media. Use this weekend to see what you can get accomplished. Take the time to study, go for a walk, or even watch television. It doesn’t matter what you do, just stay off those websites. I’ll bet you’ll be surprised by what you can accomplish with your new free time. Once you make it through the weekend, try for a week. Just as drug addicts need to detox slowly, social media addiction is a sickness best treated over time. It may be hard, it may be frustrating, but I promise you, it’s for your own good.
