Part of the reason it can be so easy to find and track down a person, is because the amount of information a single website can have on one person. When an application is downloaded or a new account is opened, it is asked that you enter a small amount of personal information, (location, age, city, etc.). However, this should not be an excuse for a young adult to create an online profile when many websites, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter offer privacy settings. This allows anyone to select the information they would like to be seen or what they would like to be hidden, from friends or even strangers.
