On top of that, since they are always on the move, the places that they live in are constantly changing and the children are faced with their father not keeping a job right. With each shack or broken-down house they live in, the children are met with the risk of their father losing a job again. Life at Jeannette’s grandmother’s home in Phoenix opens up a number of new opportunities for positive living conditions. It is definitely an improvement over living in Battle Mountain.
