There are two main types of lymphoma:
Hodgkin lymphoma – Abnormal lymphocytes that are referred to as Reed-Sternberg cells. Reed-Sternberg cells usually form from B cells.
Non-Hodgkin lymphoma – This is a type of lymphoma that encompasses a large group of cancer that originates in the lymphocytes. The cancers can grow slowly or quickly and can form from T or B cells.
