With a sesnsitivity of 20kΩ/V and using the 10V range, it has a resistance of 200kΩ. This changes the resistance being measured, causing a change in voltage. Doing a meter loading calculation (calculated-measured)/calculated gives a loading of 8.7%. Doing the same calculation for the digital meter (which has a much higer sensitivity) gives 0.4% loading, significantly less.
dTo measure voltage, it is clear that the DMM2200 was more suitable than the Avo8 due to the meter loading. A higher meter loading percentage will increase the variance from the true answer, meaning the lower value of the digital meter is desirable.
When measuring current, a lower resistance is ideal. It would seem, then, that the analogue meter would perform better, but the digital meter won out once again due to the difficulty of reading the scale on the analogue. Ease of operation is worth considering when selecting a multimeter.
