Everything is done by hand and there is a poor filing system, therefore there is a great likelihood that important documents will end up accidently misplaced, disregarded or out of date. Basic tasks take much longer than they should and customers have to wait in long queues. A lot of money gets thrown away unnecessarily, for example, on paper and printer ink. Customers feel that they are not being looked after properly, so they may choose to join another movie rental service instead.

The main goal is to make this system as user friendly as possible, therefore investing in something costly but feasible now will hopefully pay off in the nearby future. Help and support will not be provided, however, we aim to avoid making this system complicated to use, so hopefully, employees will be able to pick up on it the first time round.
