This panel comprised of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, clinical engineers, risk managers and other professionals who have firsthand experience in addressing patient patient safety matters in a variety of health care settings. The panel, together with the joint commission personnel work together to identify ensuing patient safety issues and advices the joint commission on how to tackle those issues. The joint commission then seeks input from various health care professionals and partners to determine the highest priority of patient safety issues and how to address them.
