The use of offender profiling is used to prioritize certain suspects when investigating certain crimes with the use of specific characteristics and behaviours. This idea isn’t reliable with the indication of these results. This is important as the results are able to convey how experienced individuals use would use profiling in actual on the job work. However, there were some limitations to which should be addressed. A limitation to the study was there was only one subject which the participate was used to rate and analyze in accordance with the profile. Future research examining the perception of offender profiling with the use of more suspects could be implicated and is highly recommended. Offender profiling is not a useful tool for finding a suspect for a crime. The research conducted concluded that the statements in the profile are generic allowing for many suspects to pertain to the same profile. This profiling can cause an individual to be accused of crimes they didn’t commit and allow people to become locked for having generic personality traits. These research findings should be considered when profiling is used and should not be the determinate of whether an individual is
