An oil change is one of the most important ways to keep your car in the best possible running condition. We will be going over, in depth, about the oil change procedure.
Before you begin you need to acquire the right tools for the job. You will need a high quality product selected oil filter, a funnel, an oil pan or bucket, newspapers, rags, and oil cleaners. The new filter is for replacing the old one, the funnel to properly put the oil in the oil tank, the oil pan or bucket to catch the releasing oil, newspapers to cover the ground below you, the rag and oil cleaner is to clean oil out from wherever it got to in the underbody.
Pull the car on the 2 or 4 post lift with driver window down so the driver can hear the spotter. (Make sure to center it properly) Remember, leave window open with the keys in the ignition so the keys don’t get locked in the car or get lost, also, so you can check the suspension. Pull the hood release and exit the vehicle.
