I wasn 't raised asian and nor am I famous at chess or basketball both of which I spent more than 10,000 hours on. I also never had a high IQ, but still was separated into a specific group of students, believed to excel. Life is honestly full surprises, if you are born within a certain month period, then you may excel in a sport, such as hockey. If you are born with a high IQ, does that mean you will excel over someone with a less IQ, yes and no. We can use many different reasons and apply stats as to why, some exceed over others. but in the end hard work does pay off. Having parents, who push you and motivate you as well, contributes to whether or not you will make it far in life. I think that if one strives for success, they the will accomplish it no matter what obstacles lie in front of them.
