Skin cancer is one of the most general types of cancer among Canadians. Melanoma is one of the most dangerous types of skin cancer that have increased a lot in Canada over the past 25 years. According to the Canadian Cancer Society, in 2014 annual cancer statistics report that 6,500 suffer from melanoma (1,050 deaths) and 76,100 cases of non-melanoma (440 deaths) skin cancers expected. Definitely the rate of melanoma among Canadian women is 13.0 per 100,000 and has increased by 1.5% every year from 1986 to 2010 (McWhirter and Hoffman-Goetz, 2015).

A symptom can be the person experiencing it can feel and know such as, pain or tiredness. Skin cancer develops when skin is exposed to the sun, as well as the scalp, face, lips, ears, neck, chest, arms and hands, and on the legs in women. Basal cell skin cancer, squamous cell skin cancers and Melanomas are skin cancer. The signs and symptoms of Basal cell and Squamous skin cancer are:
• a glowing or waxy bump
• a plane, flesh-colored or brown scar-like scratch
• A firm, red swelling
• A flat lesion with a rough, thick surface.
Melanoma has different forms and can become visible everyplace on the body. Men get mostly Melanomas on the back and women are most general on the legs. Signs and symptoms of melanoma are (Canadian cancer society, 2016).
• A mole that is varying in size, shape, colour or height and bleeding also
• a mole that looks unlike from others parts of the skin
• a mole or spot that is asymmetric (one side of the spot does not match the other)
• a mole are unequal ragged, rough
• a mole is not the same colour all over or has changed colour
• Sore that takes time to heal
• Skin can be itching scratchy, tenderness or pain
• spread of pigment from the border of a spot to surrounding skin
• new moles can be grow around an existing mole
• an irregular border and portions that appear
